Indiana has signed a contract with ESPN to play a game in Pearl Harbor in 2016, AllHoosiers.com has confirmed. The game will be part of the Armed Forces Classic and will be played in a hangar on the base of Oahu, an island in Hawaii.
The story was first reported by The Indianapolis Star, which obtained the contract in a public records request.
Indiana's opponent for the event has not yet been reported and will be released at a later date.
The Hoosiers will play in the Maui Invitational in 2015, meaning they will play in two major early-season events in as many years. That's a pretty cool thing for Tom Crean and his program.
