Shake Milton, a 2015 guard from Owasso, Okla., will announce his college decision after school on Wednesday afternoon, he told AllHoosiers.com on Friday night. A time for the announcement is still being worked out.
Milton will choose between Indiana, SMU and Oklahoma. The 6-foot-4 guard took official visits to all three schools, most recently to Bloomington the last weekend in September. Milton, who previously visited IU unofficially during the summer, attended Indiana's home football game against Maryland at Memorial Stadium.
Milton, a four-star prospect, is close friends with 2015 forward Juwan Morgan, who committed to play for the Hoosiers in early September. Indiana has several talented guards on the current roster, so Milton would have to work hard to earn early minutes in Bloomington.
The SMU coaching staff has made multiple trips in recent weeks to see Milton, he said. Indiana coach Tom Crean was unable to make it to IU's in-home visit with Milton due to a family emergency, according to Milton, but assistants Steve McClain and Chuck Martin both traveled to Oklahoma for the visit.
We will have tons of coverage before and after Milton's decision this week. Stay tuned.
