Coleman surpasses 1,000 yards at Iowa

Indiana running back Tevin Coleman has already gone over 1,000 rushing yards for the season. He's in the middle of a big day in Iowa City.

Indiana running back Tevin Coleman continues to impress.

The junior back went over 1,000 rushing yards for the season in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game at Iowa.

The Hoosiers lost starting quarterback Nate Sudfeld to a shoulder injury, and Coleman has kept his team in the game. He had touchdown runs of 83 and 45 yards in the first half, and Coleman went over 1,000 on a 69-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

For the day, Coleman has 219 rushing yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. For the season: 1,060 yards and 11 touchdowns. And this is only Indiana's sixth game.

Coleman is the second running back to go over 1,000 yards. Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon accomplished the feat earlier in the day Saturday against Illinois. Top Stories
