Jackson, who grew three inches last year to 6-foot-8, is the son of former San Antonio Spurs guard Jaren Jackson Sr. He plays at Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis.
Jackson also owns early offers from Purdue and IUPUI.
Jackson played AAU ball with my younger brother, Mark, last summer with the Eric Gordon All-Stars, so I have seen him extensively. Jackson is still raw, but he's long, athletic and talented and has tons of potential. He has good moves in the post, but can be pushed off his spot because of his thin frame. He needs to add strength in the coming years, like all players his age.
Jackson can shoot the ball from the perimeter, but his release is very low and must come up soon.
Jackson should be able to show what he can do this season with Trevon Bluiett now in college.
