Indiana leads Northwood University 38-33 at halftime in the team's first exhibition game at Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers trailed for much of the first half, but used a spurt late to pull ahead. Freshman guard James Blackmon Jr. led all scorers in the first half with 13 points and five rebounds. Yogi Ferrell added 10 points and three assists, and Hanner Mosquera-Perea contributed six points and seven rebounds.
Indiana shot 38 percent from the field (9-of-24) and 27 percent from beyond the arc (3-of-11) in the first half. The Hoosiers got 17 points from the foul line on 23 attempts. Northwood was whistled for 19 fouls in the half.
