Hoops Recruiting Central: Signing Day Preview

National Basketball Signing Day is next week. When do Indiana's two commits plan to sign?

It's been a few weeks since my last recruiting blog, so we have a bit to cover today. The big timely news: Next Wednesday is National Basketball Signing Day, and both Indiana commits plan to sign next week.

That's great news for a program that has been experiencing some turmoil created by several off-court incidents in the last 12 months. Indiana doesn't need any more negative news, so it's good Juwan Morgan and Ogugua (O.G.) Anunoby will sign in the early period and not wait until the spring.

Morgan, a four-star commit, told AllHoosiers.com he plans to sign his National Letter of Intent next Wednesday, but doesn't plan on hosting a signing ceremony. It's hard not to like this kid and how he handles his business at an early age. Great pickup for Indiana.

Anunoby hasn't specified a day, but has said he will sign at some point next week.

We will have more signing day coverage next week. If you remember, AllHoosiers.com was one of only two Indiana sites to travel to Marion last year for James Blackmon Jr.'s signing ceremony.

Pritchard to decide

Payton Pritchard, once an Indiana target, will announce his college decision on Monday. Pritchard, a 2016 guard from Oregon, did not list Indiana among his finalists.

Indiana is in pretty good shape in the backcourt right now, but that's two 2016 targets -- Pritchard and Kyle Guy -- off the board in the last month or so. Keep in mind: Rawle Alkins, a 2016 guard from Brooklyn, visited Indiana for Hoosier Hysteria last month.

Interesting note

Scout.com's Evan Daniels tweeted an interesting tidbit of info last night. At this time last year, there were just 10 prospects available in the 2014 top 100. As of Monday, there were still 22 remaining prospects on the 2015 top 100. Still a lot to be decided there.
