Watford averaging 12.4 points for Maine

Christian Watford is averaging double figures in scoring for the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Developmental League.

The former Indiana standout is averaging 12.4 points per game in an average of 28.9 minutes through 10 games with the Red Claws. He is also averaging 6.5 rebounds per game.

Watford has started nine of the 10 games. His team is in action today at 1 p.m. at home against the Texas Legends.

In his last outing, Watford scored 11 points on Sunday in a 96-96 loss to the Canton Charge. Watford was 4-of-13 from the field in that one.

Watford is struggling with his shot in the early going. He has shot 41.8 percent from the field including just 30 percent from 3-point range. Watford has made 12-of-40 from distance since joining the team.

He is also shooting 78.9 percent from the free throw line.
