IU drops out of AP top 25 poll

Indiana dropped out of the AP top 25 basketball poll this week. The Hoosiers are fourth in 'others receiving votes'.

Indiana may be moving up in the Bracketology rankings, but the Hoosiers have fallen out of the Associated Press top 25 men’s basketball poll this week.

IU (16-6, 6-3 Big Ten) split games with Purdue and Rutgers last week. That split cost IU a drop from No. 22 in the rankings last week to the fourth team in ‘others receiving votes’ this week.

The No. 25 team in the poll, Texas, received 106 votes. Indiana had 18 votes.

There are three teams from the B1G in the poll: Wisconsin at No. 5, Maryland at No. 17 and Ohio State at No. 20. Butler is ranked No. 22 this week.
