Indiana freshman guard and leading scorer James Blackmon Jr. will return and play Sunday against Michigan, Indiana coach Tom Crean told CBS Sports. Blackmon Jr. missed Tuesday's game at Wisconsin due to an ankle injury he suffered in a game last weekend against Rutgers.
Blackmon's return is significant news for the Hoosiers, especially against a Michigan team that is severely depleted in the backcourt. Both Derrick Walton Jr. and Caris LeVert will miss Sunday's game. IU will have a distinct advantage in that area.
Sunday's game tips off at 1 p.m. at Assembly Hall.
