Halftime: Indiana 36, Michigan 29

James Blackmon Jr. is led Indiana to an early lead over short-handed Michigan on Sunday. Get caught up before the second half here.

James Blackmon Jr. has 12 points and 6 rebounds in his return from an ankle injury, and Indiana leads Michigan 36-29 at halftime at Assembly Hall.

Blackmon returned to the starting lineup after missing Tuesday's game at Wisconsin, and he has looked just fine this far. The freshman has made two 3-pointers and two pretty floaters, and he's been very active on the defensive end. It seems a full week off has done him good. Blackmon is 5-of-8 from the field.

Hanner Mosquera-Perea also returned in the first half after missing nearly a full month with a knee injury. Mosquera-Perea played only three minutes, but he seemed to be moving around fine. He was expected to miss 4-6 weeks, and he's back in under four. That's a good sign for Indiana.

The Hoosiers (16-7, 6-4 Big Ten) shot 56 percent (14-of-25) from the field in the first half, but missed a few opportunities due to their seven turnovers. Troy Williams had six points and three rebounds in the half, but he also had four turnovers. Williams threw down a filthy alley-oop from Yogi Ferrell as well, but it was waived off because of a charge on Ferrell. Still, incredible.

Ferrell has 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting for Indiana. Mark Donnal and Ricky Doyle have seven points apiece to lead Michigan, which made only 9-of-20 shots from the field in the half. The Wolverines (13-10, 6-5) also had seven turnovers.

We will have plenty more coverage from today's game later today.
