Fresh off two victories on the road in the first series of the weekend last week at Stanford, the No. 22 Indiana baseball team is back in action this weekend with three games in the First Pitch Invitational in Greenville, S.C.

IU (2-1) opens today with Presbyterian College at 1 p.m. ET. The Hoosiers also play Furman on Saturday at 5 p.m. and Xavier on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Presbyterian is 4-1 on the young season with all four wins coming against Delaware State. The loss was to Wofford.

The games will be played at Fluor Field, home of the Greenville Drive, the Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

IU is coming off the first weekend series where it beat Stanford 4-2 in the first game and 4-3 in the second. Scott Effross and Thomas Belcher (in relief) picked up the wins in those games. Ryan Halstead had saves in both games as well.

Effross will be out to improve to 2-0 on the season when he takes the mound today against Presbyterian.

Stanford came back and won the final game on Sunday, 4-3. Stanford went into the series ranked No. 18 in the nation.
