Coleman talks at NFL Combine

Tevin Coleman is at the NFL Combine this week but he's unable to participate as he continues to recovery from toe surgery in December. Here is a look at what he talked about including a video from Phillip B. Wilson.

Former Indiana running back Tevin Coleman talked to reporters Friday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. Here is some of what he had to say.

Coleman is at the NFL Combine but limited in what he can do. The only actual activity he’s doing is the bench press as he continues to recover from toe surgery in December.

He wanted to participate in the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium but doctors advised against it. He just got out of a walking boot about 10 days ago.

Instead, he plans to do a Pro Day at IU on April 16 where he’ll be able to show that he has recovered from his surgery.

Coleman said he has spoken to the Indianapolis Colts once and hopes to talk with them a second time.

“It would be great (to play in Indianapolis),’’ Coleman said. “I’d love to be back in Indiana. It would be a great feeling.’’

Coleman admitted it’s difficult not being able to participate this week.

“It’s really disappointing not to show what I have,’’ Coleman said. “I was really ready to do so but my doctor said I shouldn't do it. I’m just following his rules, following his orders. Come Pro Day, I’m going to be ready. Top Stories
