Indiana is now 9-7 in Big Ten play following Wednesday's loss to Northwestern but the Hoosiers remain in the NCAA Tournament field in two of the major bracketology projections. IU has two big regular season games at home coming up against Iowa and Michigan State.
Indiana is 9-7 with two games to go in Big Ten play.
The Hoosiers have the weekend off before playing Iowa on Tuesday and Michigan State on Saturday. Both games are in the friendly confines of Assembly Hall, where Indiana is 15-2 this season.
But both of those opponents are also ranked higher in the conference standings than IU.
All the conversation this time of the year always moves toward whether or not Indiana will make the NCAA Tournament.
Here’s what the experts are saying right now.
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has Indiana as one of seven Big Ten teams in the field. The Big Ten has more representatives than any other conference.
Lunardi has IU as a No. 9 seed facing No. 8 Ole Miss in the first round in Charlotte. He has the winner of that game playing No. 1 seed Virginia.

Another noted Bracketologist, Jerry Palm, whose work now appears at CBSSports.com, also still has Indiana in the field and has seven Big Ten teams dancing.
Palm has IU in the 8-9 game as well but has the Hoosiers as the No. 8 seed in Seattle facing No. 9 LSU. And the No. 1 seed waiting in that game is Gonzaga.
Here is a complete look at Palm’s bracketology.

The next two games for the Hoosiers could mean a lot. It should be an interesting final two weeks before Selection Sunday.
