Blackmon named finalist for Tisdale Award

Indiana freshman James Blackmon Jr. is a finalist for the Wayman Tisdale Award, given annually to the nation's top freshman.

Indiana guard James Blackmon Jr. was named a finalist for the Wayman Tisdale Award on Monday, an award given annually to the nation's top freshman. Blackmon Jr. is one of 10 finalists.

The other finalists: Kentucky's Devin Booker, Arizona's Stanley Johnson, Duke's Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor, Kansas' Kelly Oubre Jr., Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell, Kentucky's Karl-Anthony Towns, Maryland's Melo Trimble and Duke's Justise Winslow.
