2015 center Bryant commits to Indiana

2015 4-star center Thomas Bryant is a Hoosier, choosing Indiana over Kentucky, Syracuse, Missouri and Kansas.

Before a national audience on ESPN, Class of 2015 Huntington Prep (W.V.) center Thomas Bryant announced his commitment to Indiana Saturday at the Dick's National Tournament at Madison Square Garden.

Bryant, a McDonald's All-American, chose the Hoosiers over offers from Kentucky, Syracuse, Missouri and Kansas.

Bryant made the announcement during the second half of the national final at Madison Square Garden. His team made the final four of that tournament before losing to Oak Hill Academy on Friday.

Bryant scored 27 points and pulled down 19 rebounds in a quarterfinal victory on Thursday.

“I just wanted to come here and be on TV and say I will be committing to Indiana University to play college basketball next year,” Bryant said during the fourth quarter. “I’m very excited.”

Bryant is a 6-10 center who has played the past two seasons at Huntington Prep in West Virginia. Prior to that he played for two years at Rochester (N.Y.) Bishop Kearney.
