The trio give IU an instant upgrade in terms of front court play with the featured piece being Bryant, a McDonald’s All-American who the Hoosiers believe they can run their offense through.
Friday night, the players competed in an event at New Albany High School in Indiana.
Bryant spoke with WDRB’s Eric Crawford after that game.
“I would say I always bring that intensity to the game, always plays with passion, but also I’m skilled on the offensive end to go inside and outside and I’m a very good defender,” Bryant said. “I would say I'm a center who goes out on the floor. I can play a forward and center spot.”
Bryant told Crawford that he picked IU because “being there just felt right.”
“There was a real need for me there,’’ Bryant said. “It felt like family. They took me in with open arms. Just looking at Coach (Tom) Crean, when he had Cody Zeller and Noah Vonleh, he developed them and they're still playing in the league.”
