The official 2015-16 Indiana basketball schedule won't be out for a while but pieces are beginning to fall into place.
Here is what we know at this point.
Indiana will play host to Creighton at Assembly Hall next season in the inaugural Gavitt Games. That was reported Monday but hasn't been officially announced by the schools. No date for that game was given.
IU will play in the annual Maui Invitational Nov. 23-25, 2015. It will mark the second time Tom Crean has taken a team to Maui. The other time was in the 2008-09 season. Other teams in the eight-team field in Maui include Chaminade, Kansas, St. John's, UCLA, UNLV, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
IU is expected to play a road game in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge after hosting Pittsburgh a year ago. No dates or opponents have been released but that announcement could be coming soon.
The Hoosiers will face Notre Dame on Dec. 19 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis in the annual Crossroads Classic.
Beyond that, IU's Big Ten opponents both home and away are known but the dates have yet to be announced. That will likely come right before school begins in the fall.
IU will have home and away games with Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin next season. The single play teams on the schedule next season are Maryland, Northwestern, Ohio State and Purdue at home, and Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Rutgers on the road.p>
