Indiana baseball will learn Monday at 12 p.m. ET if it has qualified for the NCAA Tournament for a third year in a row.
The Hoosiers (34-22) finished 2-2 in last weekend’s Big Ten Baseball Tournament, losing to Maryland in an elimination game on Saturday. Michigan went on to beat Maryland in the B1G title game on Sunday earning the conference’s automatic NCAA berth.
Illinois, the Big Ten regular season champion, found out Sunday it will host one of 16 NCAA Regionals.
All other teams in the conference, Indiana included, will have to wait until Monday at 12 p.m. ET when the NCAA Tournament Selection show will reveal the NCAA Tournament teams.
Conventional wisdom is that Indiana has done enough to make it to the NCAA Tournament for a third year in a row. The Hoosiers have an RPI around 30 and own 15 wins this season against teams int the top 50 of the RPI.
