Rawle Alkins transferring to prep school

Elite 2016 guard Rawle Alkins is leaving Christ the King and headed for prep school.

Rawle Alkins, a 2016 guard from Brooklyn and Indiana's top recruiting target in the class, announced Friday that he is transferring from Christ the King High School to an unspecified prep school for his senior year.

Alkins made the decision due to eligibility concerns, he told AllHoosiers.com. He played varsity basketball as an 8th grader in Florida, and there's a chance the Catholic High School Athletic Association would have ruled him ineligible for his senior season. Alkins couldn't take the chance of missing out on his final year of high school basketball, thus Friday's decision was made.
