The second July evaluation period ended at 5 p.m. Sunday night, ending yet another busy 96-hour stretch for college coaches around the country. Here's a look at where Indiana coach Tom Crean and his staff went, and who they watched, throughout the second live period of the month. Thanks to Justin Albers with his help in putting this together.
Wednesday, July 15
**Tom Crean opened the second live period at the Nike Global Challenge in Chicago. Played at Whitney Young High School, only open scrimmages were played that night. Crean arrived at the Nike Global Challenge around 8 p.m. and brought Rob Judson with him. A number of IU targets were at the Global Challenge, including 2016 guard Curtis Jones (USA East), 2017 guard Matt Coleman (USA East), 2017 guard Lonnie Walker (USA East), 2016 forward Miles Bridges (USA Midwest), 2016 center Tony Bradley (USA South), 2017 guard Markus Howard (USA West), 2016 center Schnider Herard (USA West) and 2016 guard De’Aaron Fox (USA West). Purdue head coach Matt Painter and Michigan head coach John Beilein were also there.

**Crean then traveled from Chicago to Atlanta Thursday morning to watch 2017 prospects and IU targets Paul Scruggs and Kris Wilkes at the Under Armour Finals. He also watched them at the adidas Invitational in Indianapolis during the first live period. Joined by associate head coach Tim Buckley, Crean also watched 2016 big man Thon Maker later that afternoon at the Under Armour Finals.
**After watching Maker, Crean then moved on to 2017 five-star prospect Hamidou Diallo in Atlanta.
**Later that night, Crean traveled to New York to join assistant coach Chuck Martin to watch 2016 prospects Rawle Alkins, De’Ron Davis and De’Riante Jenkins among others at the adidas Uprising Showcase at Rucker Park.
Friday, July 17
**With the Rucker Park event, a one-night event, wrapped up, Crean began Friday morning traveling to DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Md. For the final day of the Lawson/Oladipo camp. 2016 forward Lamar Stevens was among the IU targets there.
**At the conclusion of the Lawson/Oladipo camp, Crean traveled to Milwaukee for the NY2LA Summer Jam 2k15. According to Trevor Andershock, Crean watched All-Ohio Red vs. Illinois Celtics 17U. Ohio State, Illinois, Gonzaga and Dayton were among other programs there.
**Crean ended the third day of the second live period watching 2016 guard/forward Grant Gelon in St. Louis today. Crean began tracking Gelon at last week’s adidas Invitational, according to Justin.
Saturday, July 18
**A new IU target appeared in the 2018 class, as Crean was “front and center for 2018 prospect Jontay Porter” at the Great American Shootout in Texas, per our Evan Daniels. Jontay is the younger brother of 2017 IU target Michael Porter (also per Daniels), who Crean tracked at the Under Armour All-American Camp in Charlotte during the first live period.
**Crean finished Saturday watching 2016 five-star prospect Jarrett Allen at the Great American Shootout. Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma State and Texas have previously expressed interest in Allen.
Sunday, July 19
**Crean started the final day of the second live period by watching 2016 guard Tejon Lucas Sunday morning in Milwaukee, according to NY2LA Sports East Coast Contributing Editor Corey Evans.
**Crean also watched Ibi Watson in Milwaukee Sunday afternoon, according to Albers. This was the third day Crean tracked Watson, an All Ohio Red 17U wing. Watson, a 2016 three-star forward, holds an Indiana offer.
**According to Peegs’ Mike Pegram, Crean was also on hand to watch 2017 three-star guard Jordan Poole in Milwaukee. That covered the final day of the NY2LA Summer Jam.
