Former Indiana forward Will Sheehey will play his second professional season in France for Maritime Boulogne in France’s Pro-B League. Sheehey’s agent, Edge Sports’ Keith Kreiter, broke the news via Twitter, and it was also announced on the team’s official website. Inside the Hall’s Alex Bozich was first to report the news via Twitter.
Sheehey recently played for the New Orleans Pelicans’ summer league team in Las Vegas, but was limited to two games as a result of a hamstring injury. Through those two games, he averaged seven points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game.
His first professional season was a journey. He played nine games with KK Buducnost of Montenegro’s Adriatic League before being released by the club on December 19. Sheehey signed a contract with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, but that tenure was also short as he requested his release after eight games in late February.
He wrapped up his first pro season with the Los Angeles Defenders, where in 17 games he averaged 9.4 points in 25.6 minutes per game with three starts.
