Recruiting Roundup: Brown to visit Indiana

Here are some recruiting notes you may have missed from the weekend, including info on 2016 guard Bruce Brown, 2016 forward Lamar Stevens, and more.

Bruce Brown, a 2016 guard from Vermont Academy and a four-star prospect, will take official visits to Indiana and Georgetown in September, according to a CBSSports report on Monday. Brown has long been one of Indiana's top targets in the 2016 class, and the Hoosiers remain among the favorites to land him.

Brown also owns offers from Arizona, Michigan and Texas, among others.

INDIANA OFFERS TWO NEW PROSPECTS

Indiana offered 2016 forward Mario Kegler (ESPN.com) and 2016 guard Tyson Carter (VerbalCommits.com) over the weekend. The two played AAU ball together with MBA Hoops this summer.

Kegler, a top 50 prospect, is a 6-foot-7 forward. He will play at Oak Hill Academy for his senior season. Carter, a 6-foot-4 guard, averaged 22.4 points per game at the adidas Summer Championships in Las Vegas during the final July evaluation period.

Kegler also has offers from Arizona State, UCONN, Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida and others. Carter has offers from Mississippi State, Iowa State, Memphis and others.

SCRUGGS TAKING VISITS

Paul Scruggs, a 2017 five-star guard from Southport High School in Indianapolis, is taking a number of unofficial visits, according to his AAU program, the Indy Hoosiers. Scruggs will visit Louisville this weekend with upcoming trips planned for Michigan State, Kansas, Illinois and Indiana.
