Davis' Marijuana Charge Dropped

Former Indiana forward Devin Davis' possession of marijuana charge was dismissed on Sept. 1, according to court records.

According to court records, possession of marijuana charges against Devin Davis were dropped on Sept. 1. Indianapolis television station Fox-59 first reported the news Thursday evening, while the Bloomington Herald-Times' Mike Miller was first to confirm the news Friday.

On May 11, Indiana University police officers responded to a complaint about marijuana odor coming from a room in Hickory Hall, an on-campus apartment. When the police received permission to search the apartment, they found a small amount of marijuana in a backpack belonging to Davis. As a result, Davis was cited that night for possession of marijuana under 30 grams.

Former IU forward and teammate Hanner Mosquera-Perea was also in the room but did not receive a citation. However, both players were dismissed from the program on May 14 as a result of the incident.
