Indiana football coach Kevin Wilson addressed a number of topics during his weekly press conference on Monday afternoon, including an update on the team's injury situation.
Wilson said backup quarterback Zander Diamont is "probably a week or two away" from being able to play after injuring his shoulder in Saturday's loss at Penn State. Wilson said starting QB Nate Sudfeld did more in practice on Sunday night than he did any day last week. Sudfeld did not play against Penn State. Wilson wouldn't say one way or the other as to whether Sudfeld will be available on Saturday against Rutgers, but Diamont likely will not be. Diamont did not practice on Sunday night.
Injured running back Jordan Howard did some running on Sunday night, Wilson said. His status also remains up in the air for Saturday. Both Sudfeld and Howard have ankle injuries.
