Cubs rookie and former Indiana baseball player Kyle Schwarber hit his fifth home run of the postseason, setting a Cubs franchise record

Cubs rookie Kyle Schwarber's fifth home run of the playoffs set a Cubs postseason record.

Chicago Cubs rookie Kyle Schwarber continued his impressive hitting in the postseason, launching his franchise record-setting fifth home run of the playoffs.

The former Indiana baseball player went opposite field deep into the left-center-field bleachers off New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom on a full count in the bottom of the first ininning at Wrigley Field in Game 3 of the NLCS.

Schwarber's home run broke the previous Cubs franchise record of four by Alex Gonzalez and Aramis Ramirez in 2003. Schwarber is also one shy of tying Evan Longoria's record of six home runs hit in the 2008 postseason.
