Indiana is one step closer to landing its top big man target in the 2016 class.
De'Ron Davis, a 6-foot-10 center from Colorado, cancelled his scheduled visit to Arizona on Tuesday and is now only considering Indiana and Mississippi State.
Davis took an official visit to Indiana at the end of September and is scheduled to take an official to Mississippi State on Nov. 5.
Arizona landed a foreign center, Lauri Markkanen, over the weekend, taking the Wildcats out of the running for Davis.
Davis also had offers from Colorado, Texas and many others, but after a long process, he is down to just two. Indiana was the first school to offer Davis when he was in the eighth grade, and that still holds a lot of weight with Davis.
Davis told AllHoosiers.com on Tuesday night that he thinks he will announce a decision earlier than the spring, but said "I'm not sure" when asked if he would decide before the November 11 Signing Day.
Davis, a four-star prospect, is the 48th-ranked player in the 2016 class.
