Indiana will open Big Ten play without its second-leading scorer.
The program announced Wednesday that sophomore guard James Blackmon Jr. suffered a knee injury in practice this week and will not play in the conference-opener at Rutgers. Blackmon averaged 15.8 points per game through the first 13 games of the season.
According to the Indianapolis Star's Zach Osterman, the injury is in Blackmon Jr.'s right knee.
