Indiana was rewarded for its 5-0 start in Big Ten play with a return to the Top 25 in both the AP and Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon.
The Hoosiers (15-3, 5-0) are No. 23 in this week's USA Today/Coaches Poll and re-entered the AP poll at No. 25.
While the schedule hasn't exactly been Murderer's Row, you can only play the schedule you're given, and the Hoosiers have played it well. Indiana's defensive efficiency rating ranks 55th nationally after Saturday's win at Minnesota. The Hoosiers finished last season 214th in that category. And keep in mind, while the Big Ten schedule hasn't been great so far, Indiana has played two of the best three offenses in the country (Notre Dame, 1st. Duke, 3rd.)
The Hoosiers host Illinois on Tuesday night and opened as a 12.5-point favorite over the Illini. Indiana hosts Northwestern on Saturday.
