Yogi Ferrell named Big Ten Player of the Week

After a memorable week for Yogi Ferrell, he was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday.

After a memorable week that saw him become Indiana's all-time assists leader and move into the top 10 on the school's scoring list, Yogi Ferrell was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday.

As hard as it is to believe, this is the first time Ferrell has received that recognition in his four-year career.

Ferrell averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 assists and just 2 turnovers in two games last week, both wins over Illinois and Northwestern. Ferrell made 12-of-23 shots from the field and 8-of-13 from beyond the arc. On Saturday, he moved into the top 10 on Indiana's all-time scoring list.

Ferrell is averaged 17.1 points, 6.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in his senior season. Indiana is back in action Tuesday night at Wisconsin.
