Sold-out crowd, IU bench ignite Hoosiers

Tom Crean called the noise in Assembly Hall excruciating. Iowa's Fran McCaffery said it was one of the best atmospheres in college basketball. Assembly Hall was rocking on Thursday, and that excitement, combined with energy from Indiana's bench, helped the Hoosiers get their biggest win yet this season.

Indiana knew they would need a boost to get a win over Iowa. The team that head coach Tom Crean called the best team the Hoosiers have faced yet this season came into Assembly Hall looking for a win to solidify their spot atop the Big Ten Conference, but Indiana had other plans.

That win would not come for the Hawkeyes, who faced an IU team that would bring 28 points off the bench in their win. Those bench points--compared to zero from Iowa's bench--would leave the Hawkeyes searching for answers in a raucous Assembly Hall.
