Less than 24 hours after earning Wooden Award All-American honors, Yogi Ferrell earned an additional career accolade.
The senior guard from Indianapolis was invited to compete in the 3-point contest for the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas. The event will be nationally televised Thursday on ESPN at 9 p.m.
According to a press release, the complete list of competitors will be revealed at a later date. However, WDRB's Rick Bozich reported that Louisville grad transfer guard Damion Lee will also compete in the contest.
A career 39.9 percent 3-point shooter, Ferrell shot 42 percent from 3-point range this season, 10th-best in the Big Ten. His conference play 3-point percentage of 43.1 percent ranked eighth in the Big Ten.
