Texas DE Alfred Bryant has become the seventh commit for Indiana in the 2017 recruiting class

The IU staff is looking for talented edge rushers in the 2017 class and they have added a very good one with the commitment of Lance Bryant from Manvel (TX) Manvel H.S.

Three-star prospect Alfred "Lance" Bryant just posted on his Twitter page that he has committed to Indiana today.  The 6-foot-2, 236-pound DE/OLB is the seventh commit for IU in the 2017 recruiting class, and the first one from the state of Texas.

He chose the Hoosiers over offers from Illinois, Arkansas, California, Cincinnati, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado State, East Carolina, Fresno State, Louisiana-Lafayette, New Mexico, North Texas, SMU, Texas-San Antonio and Northern Colorado. He told Peegs.com recently that IU was in good shape with him because of his relationship with the staff.

“I like Indiana because I talk to the coaches a lot and I have a great relationship with them," he said. "They also have good academics and it is just a great school."

Peegs.com will have more on this developing story.
