One of the top 40 players in the nation, Westtown (Pa.) shooting guard Brandon Randolph has Indiana among the schools pursuing him.
A 6-foot-5 prospect ranked No. 38 nationally in the 2017 class, Randolph is hearing a lot from Indiana.
There is an obvious connection. Randolph plays AAU for the PSA Cardinals, same as current Indiana center Thomas Bryant did.
“He was a PSA Cardinal also at one time. They talk a lot about his development there and how I can improve my game,” Randolph said of Indiana.
“The coach gives me tips on how I can develop and how their program could get me stronger and improve my game.”
Randolph has offers from a host of schools, including Arizona, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Syracuse and others.
He recently made an unofficial visit to Louisville.
“All the schools contact me equally, and it’s great. I get a bunch of phone calls every day basically, or texts, saying ‘How you doing Brandon?’ Just checking up on me,” he said.
“All these schools are looking out for me.”
Randolph said North Carolina is also one of the schools contacting him a lot.
“Location isn’t a big thing for me, but definitely style of play and academics. I definitely want to go to a school that helps me focus on what I cant to major in, which is accounting.”
Randolph and the PSA Cardinals head into July as one of the favorites to win the Peach Jam, the finale of the Nike EYBL circuit.
“That session has been going well so far. We’ve only lost two games. Our team is real special. We’ve been together for a while,” he said.
“It’s been going really well so far. I’m hoping to get to the Peach Jam final and win it, and I definitely think we can do it.”
