Top-40 prospect Brandon Randolph is coming off a run to the Peach Jam championship game with his PSA Cardinals team and is now training with the USA Basketball 18U squad.
The 6-foot-5 2017 four-star shooting guard from the Westtown (Pa.) School has Indiana among the list of schools he’s considering.
Randolph is planning to cut his list of schools by sometime in August, he tells Peegs.com.
“I’m definitely thinking about 10 or 12,” he said of his list of finalists. “I think I have like 26 offers.”
Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Marquette, Maryland, North Carolina, Syracuse and Villanova are among the schools involved with Randolph.
Randolph is currently in Houston training with the USA Basketball 18U squad.
Randolph said he’s in regular communication with IU assistant Chuck Martin and coach Tom Crean and added Crean has been giving him tips regularly.
“They talk to me almost every other day. He watches film of me and they just try to help me. They tell me little things I can do to help my shot and balance,” Randolph said.
“I like those observations. His whole goal is to make me a better player and that’s great.”
Randolph, ranked No. 38 nationally in the Scout.com rankings, said development is an important factor with him.
“I definitely think since my goal is to go to the pros, I can get stronger and help my shot selection. Those are two main things to improve my game.”
