4-star center Nick Richards of The Patrick School updates where Indiana stands with him

LAS VEGAS — Four-star 2017 center Nick Richards talks with Peegs.com about where Indiana stands with him and the top schools in his recruitment.

LAS VEGAS — Four-star center Nick Richards has been getting plenty of recruiting attention in July.

The 6-foot-10 center from The Patrick School (N.J.) and the Expressions Elite AAU program is a major Indiana recruiting target.

IU coach Tom Crean and assistants Chuck Martin and Rob Judson all have watched Richards here at the Fab 48 in Las Vegas.

“They’re still coming hard,” Richards said of Indiana. “They call my family about every other day.

“I haven’t really talked to any coaches. My family, they do all that for me — my mom, my aunt and my uncle — and they tell me what the schools say.

“They told me that Indiana is looking at me and sees me as a potential pro.”

Richards said the five schools recruiting him the hardest are Kentucky, Arizona, Indiana, Syracuse and Connecticut.

He said right now his plan is to take all five official visits and doesn’t have a timeline on when he wants to make a decision.
