Florida DE/TE Michael Ziemba has committed to Indiana

Kevin Wilson and his staff have picked up commit number 12 for 2017 when the news that Florida DE/TE Michael Ziemba has pledged to the Hoosiers today.

Michael Ziemba from Lake Mary (FL) Lake Mary H.S. just posted on his Twitter page that he has committed to Indiana today.  The 6-foot-3, 230-pound TE/DE is the 12th commit for Kevin Wilson and his staff in the 2017 recruiting class, and the 4th one from the state of Florida.

Here is the post from Ziemba announcing his committed to Indiana:

Ziemba, who is from the same high school as current Hoosier Nick Westbrook, chose IU over offers from Purdue, Cincinnati, Syracuse, South Florida, East Carolina, FAU, FIU, Kent State, Miami (OH), Temple, Tulane, UCF, Western Kentucky, Appalachian State, East Tennessee State, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, McNeese State, Mercer and Samford. He told Peegs.com after he visited Indiana back in June that the Hoosiers made a big impression on him.

"I felt really at home and so did my family," Ziemba said. "They loved it just as much as I did. The coaches make it really feel like a family and made us feel very comfortable. The town was really interesting with all the art work and it had a great atmosphere. It's really a college town, and the facilities are second to none."

The talented prospect plays tight end and linebacker at Lake Mary H.S., but the Indiana staff likes him as a defensive lineman in college that could also project to the offensive side as a tight end if he was needed there.
