Student Sports Photo (music in video by BenSound) has confirmed that a number of prospects are expected to visit IU today

When the IU football team hits the practice field today there will be a number of Indiana commits and top targets in attendance to watch the workout. has confirmed that around a dozen recruits will be in Bloomington today for unofficial visits. Four commits from the 2017 IU recruiting class will be on campus, and they will be joined by several in-state prospects and one Illinois prospect.

Notes: Britt Beery is one of the IU commits from the 2017 class visiting IU today. He is a big defensive end that could grow into a defensive tackle once he gets to Bloomington.

Notes: Bryant Fitzgerald is an IU commit that is being brought in to play the Husky position in the new 4-2-5 defense for the Hoosiers. Fitzgerald was the second commit for IU in the 2017 class.

Notes: Peyton Hendershot committed to the Hoosiers almost a month ago. He is an athletic tight end that shows the ability to make big plays after he catches the ball. He could also be a D-end in college.

Notes: Leshaun Minor is one of seven defensive line commits for IU in the 2017 class. He will most likely be an interior defensive lineman, but he also has the ability to play some at end in certain situations.

Notes: David Bell is only a sophomore but he has already picked up offers from Indiana, Iowa and Syracuse. The talented wideout is rated a four-star prospect by Last fall Bell had 35 receptions for 649 yards and five touchdowns.

Notes: Justin Britt is another talented underclassmen at Warren Central. The sophomore lineman has the ability to play on either side of the ball in college. He has picked up an early offer from the Hoosiers.

Notes: Harry Crider is an offensive lineman from just down the road at Columbus East H.S. He is currently committed to Virginia but appears to have some interest in the Hoosiers.

Notes: Hugh Davis is one of the top in-state prospects in the 2018 class. The Indianapolis Cathedral junior has offers from Indiana and Central Michigan. He is rated a three-star recruit by

Notes: D.J. Johnson is a junior cornerback at North Central H.S. in Indianapolis. The three-star prospect has picked up an early offer from Bowling Green to go along with interest from Indiana.

Notes: Madison Norris is a 2018 defensive end prospect from Hamilton Southeastern H.S. Last fall as a sophomore he recorded 34 tackles, three QB hurries and two tackles for loss. He picked up his first offer from IU on August 1st.

Notes: Quincy Patterson is the lone visitor today that is not from the state of Indiana. The Chicago native is a three-star prospect that has picked up offers from Illinois, Penn State and New Mexico.

Notes: Kurt Rafdal is one of the top remaining in-state targets for the Hoosiers. He is a teammate at Carmel with IU commit Britt Beery. He recently told that he is down to IU, Auburn and Nebraska.

Notes: Ramon Stallings is a 2018 prospect from Pike H.S. in Indianapolis. He projects as either a defensive end or outside linebacker in college. He is hearing from Indiana and Ball State.

Notes: Mark Stickford is a teammate at Carmel of current Indiana commit Britt Berry and top IU target Kurt Rafdal. He has picked up offers from Purdue, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Central Florida, Ball State, Central Michigan, Ohio, Toledo, New Mexico, Columbia, Harvard and Yale.

Notes: Jaylen Turner is a 2018 lineman at Indianapolis Arsenal Tech that plays on both sides of the ball. He picked up his first offer from IU while on his visit to Bloomington.

Notes: Russ Yeast is a four-star prospect that originally committed to Kentucky where his dad, Craig Yeast, was a standout a player, but he has since opened things back up. He transferred into Center Grove H.S. for the upcoming season after his dad got hired on the staff at Franklin College.
