One of the nation’s top 2017 point guards knows three of his five official visits and is working on setting up two more.
Four-star point guard Tremont Waters will make official visits to Georgetown, Kansas and Indiana, according to his father.
“The dates we’re not going to announce right now for several reasons, but he is going to make official visits to Georgetown, Kansas and Indiana,” Ed Waters told Peegs.com.
“Those three are schools we are definitely going to be visiting then we have to figure out the last two based on the relationships.”
Waters recently cut his list to Connecticut, Duke, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky and Yale, in no specific order.
The Waters are looking at basketball and beyond. Ed Waters has said: “This isn’t a four-year decision, it’s a 40-year decision.”
Tremonth Waters also is transferring from South Kent (Conn.) to Notre Dame-West Haven for his senior year after a coaching change at South Kentucky. The family lives in West Haven.
Waters averaged 25 points per game as a junior at South Kent.
He a strong spring and summer with the Expressions Elite AAU program.
Waters is AAU teammates with center Nick Richards and forward Jermaine Samuels, also Indiana recruiting targets.
