Big Ten schedule announced

The Big Ten today announced the 2016-17 conference basketball schedule. The defending Big Ten champion Indiana Hoosiers open Big Ten play with three consecutive home games, starting Tuesday, Dec. 28, against Nebraska.

The defending Big Ten champion Indiana Hoosiers open Big Ten play with three consecutive home games, starting Tuesday, Dec. 28, against Nebraska.

Indiana closes the conference season with four of its final five games on the road, the first Big Ten team to do that since Northwestern in 2009.

The Hoosiers have won the Big Ten regular-season title in two of the past four seasons.

Tipoff times and televisions designations will be announced when they are set by the Big Ten's various television partners.
