Indiana coach Tom Crean and assistant Chuck Martin have been recruiting Samuels for the Hoosiers.

“It’s also a great school, and they have some pretty good guards out of there,” Samuels said. “Plus Crean seems like he wants to develop me.”

Victor Oladipo, a No. 2 NBA draft pick, has been mentioned, but it’s more than that about IU.

“It’s a little bit of both but more of me,” Samuels said.

Villanova is his first official visit.

“What stood out is the family atmosphere they have there and the campus,” Samuels said.
