Indiana lost starting wide receiver Simmie Cobbs and All-American right guard Dan Feeney during today’s victory over Ball State.
Cobbs left the game on Indiana’s first series.
Feeney left the game in the first half.
Cobbs has an ankle injury that could require surgery, and Feeney suffered a concussion, IU coach Kevin Wilson said.
"It's not like 'Woe is Indiana.' ... We're going to keep playing," Wilson said.
Indiana has a bye week before hosting Wake Forest on Sept. 24.
Cobbs was suspended for IU’s season-opening win over Florida International.
Last year, the 6-foot-4 junior had 60 catches for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns as was named honorable mention All-Big Ten.
Feeney, a 6-foor-4 fifth-year senior, as a junior last year was a First Team All-American.
He entered the season on the watch lists for both the Outland Trophy (nation’s top interior lineman) and Lombardi Award (nation’s best lineman or linebacker).
Entering the Ball State game, Feeney had played 2,799 career snaps and allowed just one sack.
