Earlier today Indiana made available OG Anunoby, James Blackmon Jr., Robert Johnson and associate head coach Tim Buckley.
As expected, the first questions centered on the Blackmon's recovery from knee surgery that ended his season before Big Ten play and Johnson's leg injury that cost him a chance to play against North Carolina in the regional semifinals in Philadelphia.
Blackmon Jr. had good news.
"I am feeling great," Blackmon said. "I recently just got cleared to do everything. The coaches and trainers are doing a great job of letting me know when to not overdo stuff."
Johnson is not quite there.
"I haven't been all the way cleared but it could be anytime within the next couple weeks or so," Johnson said. "I am getting really close. Doing a lot more things.
"It's been different, something I have never really had to deal with before. I have had a good support system with the trainers and coaches to guide me through it. I feel like I have been doing a good job with it."
Blackmon added that he spoke to four different NBA teams in the late spring when he put his name into the NBA draft. He mentioned the Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves were among the four.
