Peegs.com has confirmed that a number of recruits will be in Bloomington tomorrow for Indiana's game against Wake Forest. Two commits from the 2017 IU recruiting class will be on campus, and they will be joined by prospects from Indiana, Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Bryant Fitzgerald was one of the earliest commits for IU when he pledged to the Hoosiers back in January. He is being recruited by the IU staff to play the Husky position in their 4-2-5 defense. Through the first five games of his senior season he has recorded 48 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two QB hurries, one forced fumble and one interception he has returned 94 yards for a touchdown.
Caleb Jones is one of three offensive line commits for Indiana in the 2017 class. He is a three-star rated prospect by Scout.com, and he chose the Hoosiers over offers from Illinois, Purdue, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Ohio and Western Michigan.
Devin Darrington is a player that Indiana has been recruiting since last year when he was playing at John Carroll H.S. in Maryland. For his senior season he transferred to The Bullis School. He is a three-star prospect that has offers from Indiana, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Ohio, Temple, Toledo, Army, Navy, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Monmouth, Penn, Robert Morris, Towson and Yale.
Jarell White is a three-star running back that has picked up offers from Illinois, Iowa, Boston College, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Colorado State, Miami (OH), Ohio and Toledo. Through four games this fall for La Salle he has rushed for 283 yards and five touchdowns, and he has seven receptions for 95 yards. He could also play on the defensive side ball in college at safety.
Julius Brents is three-star defensive back at one of the top programs in Indiana. He has picked up early offers from Indiana, Iowa, Cincinnati and Syracuse. He is listed as a safety by Scout.com but he could also project to cornerback in college.
Bryce Jefferson is a dual-threat quarterback at Decatur Central H.S. in Indianapolis. In five games this fall for the Hawks he has thrown for nearly 1,200 yards with 14 touchdowns, and he has rushed for 363 yards and three scores. He is hearing from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State and Notre Dame.
Shamar Jones is a defensive end prospect that has picked up offers from Bowling Green, Toledo, Eastern Illinois and Youngstown State. He has recorded 32 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss in four games this fall for Greater Johnstown H.S.
Andrew McCormick is a quarterback at East Noble H.S. which is just north of Fort Wayne. In four games of action he has thrown for 1,092 yards with 13 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 203 yards and three scores.
Cameron McGrone is one of the top targets for the IU staff in the 2018 class. He is a three-star linebacker at Lawrence Central H.S. in Indianapolis. He has offers from Indiana, Nebraska, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Bowling Green and Miami (OH).
Madison Norris is another top in-state target for the Hoosiers in the 2018 class. The defensive end from Hamilton Southeastern has picked up offers from IU, Louisville and Central Michigan. In five games for the Royals this fall he has recorded 34 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks.
Anthony Torres is a tight end from Penn H.S. in Mishawaka, Indiana. He has not picked up any offers at this time but he is hearing from Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami (OH) and Toledo.
