Former Hoosiers working to make it as NBA rookies updates you on the NBA pursuits of former Hoosiers trying to make a roster as rookies

Troy Williams put in a pretty good case last night in his pursuit to make the roster for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Playing a preseason high 26 minutes, Williams was 8-for-13 from the floor including 2-for-3 from behind the 3-point line. Williams finished with 16 points and seven boards and added a pair of steals as the Grizzlies easily beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 121-91.

The Grizzlies are now 2-1 in preseason and Williams is averaging 13.3 points, four rebounds and is shooting 55.6 percent from the floor in 22.3 minutes a game.

Yogi Ferrell hasn't seen quite as much time as Williams but he is getting on the court for the Brooklyn Nets. He's played in two of the three games thus far and has averaged 6.5 points and four assists per game on 13.5 minutes of playing time. He's shooting 42.9 percent from the floor. Last night he did not travel with the Nets so that he could attend the funeral of his grandmother.

In his most recent game on Saturday against the New York Knicks, Ferrell had eight points in 15 minutes of time. He got to the free throw line six times, missing just once and was 1-for-2 from behind the 3-point line

Nick Zeisloft has been with the Indiana Pacers camp and he did get a chance to play one minute last Saturday against the Chicago Bulls. Zeisloft missed his only shot from the field, a 3-pointer as the Pacers fell, 121-105. The Pacers are back in action tonight at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. Top Stories
