Hoosiers in the NFL: Week 6

Each week Peegs.com checks in on the all the action in the NFL and how former Hoosier players are doing around the league. This week we take a look at how eight former Indiana players active in the NFL performed in week six of the 2016 season.

In week six of the 2016 season the Falcons (4-2) lost to the Seattle Seahawks by the score of 26-24. In the game Coleman rushed for 10 yards on five carries (2 yards per carry), and he had one reception for seven yards.

On the season Coleman has played in all six games and he has rushed for 170 yards on 51 carries (3.3 yards per carry) with four touchdowns, and he has 18 receptions for 320 yards (17.8 yards per reception) and one touchdown.

Coleman was selected in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Falcons.

At Indiana Coleman started 23 games and appeared in 33 and he accounted for 3,219 rushing yards and 4,292 all-purpose yards, and he had 29 total touchdowns. Following the 2014 season Coleman was named Indiana's third unanimous and consensus All-American after setting the Indiana single-season rushing record with 2,036 yards on 270 carries.

In week six of the 2016 season the Bears (1-5) lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars by the score of 17-16. In the game Howard started at running back and he rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries (2.3 yards per carry), and he had two receptions for six yards (3 yards per reception).

On the season Howard has played in five games and started three and he has rushed for 330 yards on 66 carries (5 yards per carry) with one touchdown, and he has 14 receptions for 128 yards (9.1 yards per reception) and one touchdown.

Howard was selected in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Bears.

In one season at Indiana Howard rushed for 1,213 yards with 10 total touchdowns despite missing more than four games due to injury. Following the 2015 season Howard was named First Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and the media.

In week six of the 2016 season the Raiders (4-2) lost to the Kansas City Chiefs by the score of 26-10. In the game Latham recorded one solo tackle.

On the season Latham has played in all six games for the Raiders and he has recorded five tackles (1 solo).

Latham was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Raiders on April 30th, 2016.

At Indiana Latham played in 35 games and started 20. He finished his career with 81 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, two blocked extra points and one interception. After the 2015 season Latham was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by the coaches.

In week six of the 2016 season the Broncos (4-2) lost to the San Diego Chargers by the score of 21-13. Latimer played in the game but did not record any stats.

On the season Latimer has played in all six games for the Broncos with one start and he has three receptions for 22 yards (7.3 yards per reception). On special teams he has recorded three tackles. As a kick returner he has returned six kicks for 148 yards (24.7 yards per return).

Latimer was selected in the second round (56th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Broncos.

At Indiana Latimer started 24 games and appeared in 32. He ended his career with 2.042 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns on 135 receptions. After the 2013 season he was named Second Team All-Big Ten by the media and Honorable Mention by the coaches. He was also named Second Team All-Big Ten by ESPN.com, BTN.com, Phil Steele and Athlon.

In week six of the 2016 season the Bears (1-5) lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars by the score of 17-16. Porter started at cornerback and recorded two passes defended and one interception.

On the season Porter has started all six games at cornerback for the Bears and he has recorded 20 tackles (18 solo), five passes defended and two interceptions.

Porter was selected in the second round (40th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

At Indiana Porter recorded 212 tackles with 24 passes broken-up, 16 career interceptions, four fumble recoveries for 147 yards in returns, including a 76-yard touchdown, and two forced fumbles. He was the first player in school history to return a punt, interception and fumble for touchdowns. After his senior season Porter was named an All-Big Ten First-Team selection.

In week six of the 2016 season the Rams (3-3) lost to the Detroit Lions by the score of 31-28. Saffold started at left guard for the Rams.

On the season Saffold has started all six games at left guard for the Rams.

Saffold was selected in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Rams.

At Indiana Saffold started 41 games and appeared in 42 in his career after taking over the left tackle position midway through his true freshman campaign. After his senior season in 2009 he was selected Second Team All-Big Ten by the conference coaches and named Honorable Mention by the league's media. He also earned Second Team All-Big Ten recognition from Phil Steele's magazine.

In week six of the 2016 season the Packers (3-2) lost to the Dallas Cowboys by the score of 30-16. Spriggs played in the game for the Packers.

On the season Spriggs has played in all five games at tackle for the Packers.

Spriggs was selected in the second round (48th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Packers.

At Indiana Spriggs made 47 starts in 48 games at left tackle. Following the 2015 season he was named a First Team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America. He also earned All-America recognition from Phil Steele, Sporting News, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Associated Press and Sports Illustrated. Spriggs was the first Outland Trophy semifinalist in school history, and he was named Second Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media.

In week six of the 2016 season the Redskins (4-2) defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by the score of 27-20. Sudfeld did not play in the game for the Redskins.

On the season Sudfeld has yet to play in a game for the Redskins.

Sudfeld was selected in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Redskins.

At Indiana Sudfeld finished his career first in passing yardage with 7,879 and passing touchdowns with 61. After the 2015 season he was named Third Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media. He was also a Wuerffel Trophy finalist, a Senior CLASS Award finalist, and a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award semifinalist. Sudfeld was also named to the named to the Maxwell Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch Lists, and he was an Allstate AFCA Good Works team nominee.
