With Michigan's win tonight at Nebraska, Indiana (17-14, 7-11) has earned the No. 10 seed for this week's Big Ten Tournament. For the first time the event will be held at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
The Hoosiers will face the Iowa Hawkeyes (18-13, 10-8), the No. 7 seed. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. ESPN2 will have the broadcast.
Indiana and Iowa met once this season in Iowa City on February 21. The Hawkeyes prevailed in overtime, 96-90. Hoosiers jumped out to a 17-4 lead but saw that lead evaporate to 33-32 at the halftime break. Free throws proved the difference, especially in overtime when Iowa made 15 of 16 attempts in the extra session. For the game Iowa had 47 free throw attempt to just 19 for Indiana.
Peter Jok, the Big Ten's leading scorer, finished with 35 points, including 22-for-23 from the line. James Blackmon Jr. led the Hoosiers with 18 points.
The winner of the Iowa-Indiana game will meet No. 2 seed Wisconsin (23-8, 12-6). That Friday game will also tip off at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Big Ten Network on the broadcast.
