Indiana basketball coach Archie Miller’s visits to see IU’s 2017 signees begin today.
Miller is scheduled to start with a 2:30 p.m. Central time stop at Lincolnshire (IL) Stevenson High School to see four-star forward Justin Smith and the Smith family, Ed Smith, Justin’s father, said.
After that, Miller is scheduled to meet with three-star guard Al Durham and his family this evening in Berkmar (GA), Al Durham Sr. tells Peegs.com.
Today is the first day following a recruiting "dead period" that college coaches can meet with recruits or prospects in person.
Miller and assistant Bruiser Flint are scheduled to meet with 6-foot-10 forward Clifton Moore and Moore’s family on Sunday afternoon, Clifton Moore Sr. and Hatboro-Horsham (PA) coach Ed Enoch tell Peegs.com.
Durham and Moore have requested releases from their letters of intent with Indiana, but both players have said they are open to being re-recruited by Miller.
IU asked the players and their families to meet with Miller prior to send the releases.
Miller has said IU will grant the releases if the players decide they do indeed want them in the future.
