Smith and Durham scored most of their points on drives in a very free-flowing all-star event.

Durham had a nice drive, scored and got fouled early on.

Smith had several nice drives, including a cut from the wing for a dunk.

Durham and Smith had a nice future teammate play when Durham hit Smith for an alley-oop.

At halftime, Smith had eight points while Durham had four points, four rebounds and two assists.

For much of the game, the two 10-player teams went with five-man groups for half of each 10-minute quarters, switching it up a little in the fourth quarter.

Kentucky recruit Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Lightning squad led all scorers with 29 points. Louisville signee Darius Perry led the Thunder team with 22 points.

Last year, Indiana 2016 signees De’Ron Davis and Curtis Jones played in the Derby Festival Classic.

During the finals of the dunk contest, Smith threw down a reverse dunk off a from-the-side-of-the-backboard pass from Durham.

Smith finished second in the dunk contest that was won by Texas A&M recruit Savion Flagg.
