Two weeks ago it would have come as no surprise that IU would lure a pair of teammates to Bloomington in the final days before the Feb. 1 signing date. The surprising part is that it's Arizona high school teammates and twin brothers Adrian and Aaron Burks.
The tandem from Phoenix's Desert Vista H.S., who had originally pledged to Minnesota, switch their commitments to Indiana this week, and both intend to sign with the Hoosiers on Wednesday according to their father, Mark Burks.
The duo is expected to give IU Coach Terry Hoeppner a couple of playmakers, one on each side of the ball. The 6-0, 185-pound Adrian starred as a running back and wide receiver this past fall, rushing 134 times for 684 yards and four touchdowns while also catching 14 passes for 141 yards. He has 4.4 speed in the 40 and could wind up playing a couple of different positions on the offensive side of the ball.
Aaron, meanwhile, is a 5-11, 190-pound safety who had 56 tackles this past fall, including four interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
HoosierNation.com has highlights of Indiana's most recent verbal commits, both of whom plan to sign with the Hoosiers on Wednesday.
