BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Three players who have received IU scholarship offers were among those in attendance at Saturday's IU spring football practice.
Adrian, Mich., quarterback Steven Threet, Centerville, Ohio linebacker Tyler Replogle, and Indianapolis Bishop Chatard athlete Joe Holland were among the approximately 12-15 high school players who watched the Hoosiers in Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The 6-2, 195-pound Holland spent the majority of his time at tailback last season, running for 2.260 yards and 32 touchdowns. He's also spent time in the secondary as well and could wind up as a safety at the collegiate level. In addition to Indiana, Purdue has also extended a scholarship offer.
Threet is a 6-5, 218-pounder who is one of a couple of quarterbacks who has already received a scholarship offer from Indiana. He threw for 1,592 yards, 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as a junior, and is spending the next several weeks traveling around the Midwest to try to take in as many spring practices as possible. He's also received scholarship offers from Georgia Tech and Miami (Ohio), while a handful of other Big Ten programs have been showing interest as well.
Replogle, meanwhile, is a 6-2, 224-pound middle linebacker from Centerville H.S. who recorded 107 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and eight sacks as a junior.
